Andrew started as a game programmer out of university in 1998 and has worked at a variety of companies never straying far from programming and never far from games. He spent a near decade long stint with Sony Computer Entertainment before arriving at Sumo Warrington in 2020. He has worked with many languages, codebases, and technologies and always maintained a forward-looking interest in emerging science and technology. He’s now old enough to tell stories about when neural networks couldn’t do anything useful and humans could still beat computers at chess and Go, and hopefully wise enough to have some useful perspective on wider industry “soft” topics and being adaptable, competitive and positive as technology marches on.?
