SPEAKER: Richard Smith

Richard has been programming games for over 20 years and using Unreal Engine for nearly 15 years. He started out as a physics programmer on F1 games before stints doing graphics programming for the PS2 and network programming on the Call of Duty franchise. As a Technical Director, he worked at Midway on Wheelman before founding CCP Newcastle in 2009. This studio became part of Sumo Digital in 2018, shipped Hood: Outlaws & Legends in 2021, and is now working on multiple unannounced game prototypes.
