FAQ

We’ve compiled the answers to some of our most common questions around SDC into this handy FAQ:

What is the Sumo Developer Conference (SDC)?

SDC is Sumo Digital’s flagship learning event, centred around sharing cutting edge knowledge across different game development disciplines. It is a two day in person conference (with the option for virtual attendance), held annually in Sheffield. Take a look at last year’s event here

Can anyone attend SDC?

SDC is primarily an internal learning event so attendance over the two days is restricted to our people. If you work for Sumo and haven’t yet registered interest head over to Dojo to find out more! Following the event, several sessions will be open to everyone to view digitally via this website.

I work for Sumo; how do I sign up to SDC sessions?

Everything you need to know about how to sign up to SDC sessions can be found on our internal learning platform, Dojo.

I don’t work for Sumo; do I need to sign up for the sessions featured on this website?

No need to sign up! These sessions will be captured during the event and made available to watch via the Sumo Digital YouTube account soon after.

Is SDC accessibility friendly?

The University of Sheffield is governed by strict guidelines to ensure its facilities and services are accessible to all.

Will SDC be environmentally friendly?

We have taken steps to ensure SDC is as environmentally friendly as possible by using sustainable and/or recyclable materials we can, our venue is easily accessible by public transport, and we are arranging transport from our studios outside of Sheffield to keep emissions to a minimum. We will offset costs of additional transport and our accommodation.
